Remote Notarization Approved In NYS!

As of 2/25/22, remote notarization has been authorized in New York State in accordance with section 135-c of the executive law.

Notarization roles include:
- Oaths and affirmations
- Affidavits and depositions
- Certifying acknowledgements
- Proof of deeds, mortgages, and powers of attorney - Demanding acceptance or payment of bills of foreign and inland bills of exchange, promissory notes, and obligations in writing.

These roles can now be completed remotely via video conferencing software and digital signature so long as an application and fee have been submitted and approved for notarization.
